Who we are. MYGAZ SAS, a simplified joint-stock company under Cameroonian law, registered with the Yaoundé RCCM, tax identifier M082116420144W, registered office in Essos, Yaoundé, Cameroon, is the controller of your personal data. This policy covers the MyGaz app, the MyGaz Pro app for agencies and delivery riders, the connected devices fitted to your gas cylinders, and the mygaz.io website.

What we collect. Name, phone number, delivery address and GPS point, Mobile Money number and operator, and an optional photograph of the delivery point. From the device fitted to your cylinder: remaining gas level measured by ultrasound, consumption rate, leak alerts, ambient temperature, device identifier, battery state and link quality. From your use of the app: connection logs, IP address, device model, screens viewed and technical incidents.

What we do not collect. No biometric or health data, no political, religious or trade-union views, no sexual orientation, no criminal records. No location beyond the delivery point you registered. No access to your contacts, messages or other apps.

Why. Performance of our contract for account, delivery and payment. Vital interest and personal safety for leak and empty-cylinder alerts. Your consent for marketing, withdrawable at any time. Legal obligation for accounting records. Legitimate interest for security, fraud prevention and aggregate statistics.

How long. Account for the life of the relationship plus three years. Detailed device telemetry twenty-four months, then irreversible aggregation. Transactions and accounting records ten years. Leak alerts five years. Connection logs twelve months.

Who sees it. Internally, only staff who need it, under named authorisation. Our processors, bound by contract: Supabase (hosting and database, France), Cloudflare (network, device data intake and file storage), MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money (payments, Cameroon), Termii (SMS verification codes and notifications, Nigeria). Distribution agencies and their delivery riders receive only your name, phone number and delivery address, for the duration of the delivery. Authorities on lawful request. We do not sell, rent or trade your data.

Transfers outside Cameroon. Some technical providers host data outside Cameroon, notably in France and Nigeria. Such transfers require prior authorisation from the Personal Data Protection Authority and are governed by contractual clauses imposing protection equivalent to Cameroonian law. Security. Encryption in transit between device, app and servers. Encryption at rest for sensitive data. Named access and strong authentication for staff. Access logging. Encrypted backups. Data minimisation. Breaches likely to put you at risk are notified to the Authority promptly and to you directly.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, and directives on the fate of your data after death. Write to [email protected]. We answer within thirty days. If unsatisfied, you may refer the matter to the Personal Data Protection Authority. Note that erasure stops level measurement and leak alerts on your device.

Minors. Not intended for anyone under eighteen.

Cookies. mygaz.io uses strictly necessary cookies, plus audience-measurement cookies only after your agreement. The mobile apps carry no advertising tracker.

Changes. Substantial changes are notified in the app and by message thirty days before taking effect.
